I’ll be taking a break from reviewing cars this week and there is no better time to do it since there will be a bunch of Frankfurt Motor Show debuts coming this week. That said, I’ll highlight some of the exciting debuts over the course of this week. I’ll get back to the car reviews next week.

First up, Ferrari has dropped two drop-tops – the F8 Spider and the 812 GTS. Obviously, the Ferrari 812 GTS is the more exciting of the two. It’s the drop-top version of the 812 Superfast and is powered by the same 6.5L V12 making 789-hp and 530 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 62 mph comes in under 3 seconds with a top speed of over 211 mph. I’m guessing that the pricing will start around $400,000.

If you want the same specs and don’t want to spend $400k, you can go for the F8 Spider. Powered by the same 3.9L V8 turbo in the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the F8 Spider makes 710-hp and a peak torque of 568 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, 0 to 62 mph takes just 2.9 secs with a top speed of 211 mph – which is crazy for a drop-top and is the same as the F8 Tributo. Prices have yet to be announced but they will definitely be more than the F8 Tributo which starts at $274,280.
